COVID-19: Our commitment to safety

We are committed to caring for the health and well-being of our community. As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we are doing everything possible to keep you informed and support health and government officials limit the spread of COVID-19 and future outbreaks. To meet demand and to ensure uninterrupted service for our clients, we have adjusted our operations, making it possible to safely and conveniently rent with us online or over the phone. Whether our store office is open or closed to the public, our properties remain accessible and staffed for onsite security, enhanced cleaning and to provide remote client support. Our reservation centres are fully operational and available to support you from 8am to 10pm ET.

Furthermore, we have implemented the following precautions:

Prevention: As an additional safety measure, prior to each shift, team members are required to complete a wellness check. This ensures that everyone is safe and confident while working together.

We have placed signage around the property as reminders regarding the importance of following safety protocol and require that people not visit the property if any of the following conditions apply:

  • Have experienced COVID-19 symptoms or illness in the last 14 days.
  • Have recently received a positive COVID-19 test and are required to isolate.
  • Have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive or is experiencing symptoms and you are required to follow provincial guidelines.
  • Have travelled internationally or are in close contact with someone who has travelled internationally in the last 14 days.

Enhanced cleaning measures: We have made hand sanitizer available and increased the frequency of cleaning in our stores with multiple daily disinfections in our high traffic areas including counters, hard surfaces, washrooms, keypads, door handles, elevator controls, hand carts, office equipment and all other areas exposed to our clients and team. Until further notice, our washrooms are closed and thus not available to clients.

Social distancing: We have reduced the number of team members working together and require that people maintain a safe social distance. We ask that clients limit the number of people in their visiting party and are limiting non-essential activity to our properties. We have also installed plexi-shields as an added barrier at all point-of-sale locations.

Mandatory facial coverings: All team members, clients and vendors are required to wear a face mask or covering while onsite.

Convenient online payments: We have expanded our online payment options providing greater flexibility to our clients. Order boxes and moving supplies online or over the phone and have them safely delivered to your storage unit or curbside for your convenience.
